Thinking about booking a brewery tour? Here's exactly what happens when you step behind the scenes at Kildare Brewing Co.
Arriving at Lock 13
Our brewery is inside Lock 13 Brewpub, right on the Grand Canal in Sallins, County Kildare. It's a 30-minute drive from Dublin city centre, or a 5-minute walk from Sallins & Naas train station. Free parking available.
The Tour (90 Minutes)
Your guide walks you through the entire brewing process — from the grain room where we store our malt, through the brewhouse where we mash and boil, into the fermentation area where the magic happens, and finally to the conditioning tanks where our beer matures before serving.
This isn't a PowerPoint presentation. You're standing next to the actual equipment, touching the grain, smelling the hops, and learning how each of our five beers gets its character.
The Tasting
The best bit. On our Core 3 tour (€20pp), you'll taste 3 beers fresh from tank. On the Core 5 tour (€25pp), you taste all five: Chapel Lane Lager, Soldier's Island Pale Ale, Electric Juice IPA, Railway Heist Red Ale, and Low Voltage Session Pale.
These aren't tiny samples — these are proper tastings, and the beer is as fresh as it gets.
After the Tour
Stay for food at Lock 13. Our menu features locally sourced dishes, and there's nothing quite like a pint of Electric Juice with a Lock 13 burger after you've just watched it being brewed.
